[GreenKeys] Land Line TTY Order Wire at KSM

A land line TTY order wire was cut over to service at KSM last weekend.

This event was the culmination of literally years of work by the MRHS Transmitter Department.  Design and engineering was done primarily by Transmitter Supervisor Steve Hawes.  Bill Ruck and Paul Shinn of the Transmitter Department rebuilt power supplies and other gear and did the installation and wiring at the receive site.  The result is a full duplex TTY land line order wire with a Model 28KSR at the receive site and a Model 15 at the transmitter site, where much of the original order wire wiring was still in place and was used.

Tests began over the circuit a few months ago using a military TT-4 at the receive site.  With the cut over to the Model 28KSR last weekend the final piece was put in place.  We now have a historically correct order wire for communications between the two stations.  See:
