Hi Roy,

Possibly something that a Field Tech would have on his truck that measures bias and distortion from the keyboard and tape reader of a TT and also measures the B & D incoming on the line from the central office.

If it the test set that I'm think of, it is blue with a top that closes with a velcro strip.  That being said, the last time I saw one was in 1985.
