ubject: [GreenKeys] screws
Teletype lists the mounting screws as 192289 Screw, 1/4-14 Self Tapping.
You can use a sheet metal screw from the hardware store, but the pitch is
not the same and once you use it, you cant go back to the Teletype screw.
The length should not be too long or it can protrude into the printer or
call unit as I recall. I have stripped a couple of the plastic nuts and
its a lot of work to get to the base to replace one, so its best to use
the Teletype screw if possible. I would think that
steveripper at comcast.net or Paul in San Francisco (I have lost his last
name and email) might have these screws. He was featured on Greenkeys and
his web site was available. Lots of parts for Teletype and expecially
28's.
Can someone help with his name and email for my records please?
Thanks,
Wayne
