Hi Larry and all:

Now, that sounds as if it would work. The problem was, that 
I used my only good ribbon in my Model 28 ASR, and that 
left me only with a couple of NOS, but dried out British 
Navy ribbons, made for a European machine. They had no 
rivets at the ends, and I had to swap spools to make them 
work...

However, with this little trick, they should work just 
great.
