	A college friend of mine actually developed the first software
system UPI used to replace torn tape with a computer (IBM 360) driving
the wires. This morphed quite quickly into computerized text editing for
preparing stories and "high speed" 1200 baud FSK distibution of such in
ASCII as well as Baudot.
