Thanks, Don -
Yes I have the manual (thanks!) and think I have found the
applicable adjustments therein.
And I've cleaned and lubricated so that the punch slides and punches
seem to be working freely - just that 2 pins don't punch far enough -
the other 3 are fine. So that's why I am puzzled. The eccentric
adjustment makes all the pins punch more or less but these two are
always less than the others. So I am hoping someone will point me at
further adjustments or tell me that the punch slides do indeed wear
out so maybe I need to replace some parts.
I try not to bother the list unless I have gotten in and cleaned and
investigated and read and understood as much as I can. But I know
there are folks here who have many years of experience compared to my
few hours - all I know at this point is what the book says.
It is all a great adventure and much fun learning about these
marvelous machines. And I stand in awe of the guys who designed,
manufactured, and maintained them for 24/7 service.
cheers,
Nick
