A lot of the time it is up to who ever is in charge of that locations
disposal when it
comes to stuff like this. From what friends who still bid at Ft Lewis
for their trucks
and such have told me things have loosened up in the past couple year. They buy
truck parts sometimes 30 to 40 pallets at a time.

Even if the the FO is tactical which looking at is my guess it might
be. The only metal
content will be the steel used to strenthen it, maybe some copper for
signaling/repeater
power.

maybe there is enough polyethylene in the out jacket but that's a long
shot. Here
there is a scarpper that takes older telco cable chops it up, and
floats off the PE.

Here in NW Oregon clean wood is $44.30 a ton, and the FO would cost you
$80.75 a ton. Even being nice my call 12 tons of FO, wood etc. Of the TTYs
lets say 10 tons ?

dirty steel gets you oh $70 a ton ?

Even saying $200 a ton for the TTYs thats only $2,000.

But you take a scapper with nothing to do, or a couple yard guys living on his
property a fractional hp will get you $5 ? thats another $500 and so on ...

Can the scrapper get away with burning .. ? Many still do.

Can a scrapper get away with buying pole peg's from the local electrical company
that are full of PCB's and make money ? sure just take them out in the woods
punch a hole in them with a pick axe and burn them out (now an Oregon EPA
cleanup site).

All mute if this locations desk jocky who is waiting out his retirement makes
one drive over the stuff with a D6

Strange world ..
