Right on, Larry.  I have a couple telco test sets, even an HP model 
that used to sell
for $14000 about 20 years ago.  (Got it at Dayton for $100 about ten 
years ago, mainly because I used one for a long time in Telecom work) 
This one does full range audio sweeps automatically and I 
occasionally use it to sweep the bandpass of audio gear, including 
xmtr modulation.
Just extra toys to play with. :-)  Hate to junk quality stuff.
