I did not see this mentioned so if it has be covered my apologies. If you
deleted it in windows, by default (unless you have change things) it will go
to the wastebasket. You can look there and brows the trash and restore them.
If you have emptied the waste basket then you will need advanced tools to
recover. And as others have pointed out. The files are there just the space
is marked as available.
At this time you should disable any drive scans/defrags or any automated
system tools. you will get some back but plan on some loss.

The less you use the drive for anything, the better chance that the files
will still be there.
