Yes,

The LST that Perry works on has one too. I hated to give it up, but I
cannot
keep everything here to have it scrapped if something happens to me.
I also
gave the museum the vintage WWII terminal unit to go with the machine.

I am restoring a 37 ASR this winter which will be shipped to the
Communications
Museum when it is ready. I will also be putting some things up for
sale.
No one person should try to hoard all of the stuff because good homes
are
sometimes hard to find for Teletype equipment. Also giving some of it
new
homes provides more room for new additions.. he he he...

I am going to talk to two museums in the spring. One is in Lake
Geneva, WI
and the other is in Union, IL. Both are well funded and prospering,
which is
unusual these days. I would like to put operating displays in them
and give
a talk once in a while. I miss being a docent at the San Diego Computer
Museum, which you all know is now in storage at the SDSU Library.

The rare cabinet George is writing about is really nice as it allows
quick access
from the front to all the workings without having to move or take
apart the parts
of the cabinet. Jim Haynes and I suspect these were used in both
ships and
communications rooms where space was at a minimum.

Best of the season to all,

Don
