Thanks  to all for the help with the Maxon batt and crystals  info.  Found 
the batt at _www.nicdlady.com_ (http://www.nicdlady.com)  
$22.50.  Was hoping someone would have box of crystals on hand to get  rid 
of, but none yet.  
 
Will look at NEARFEST October 16.  
 
Would really like Yaesu VX-3R or the like, but no $ for that.
