[GreenKeys] Icom 6000

Have any of you guys had any experience with the new Icom 6000? I got
excited about it because it comes with a keyboard (that plugs into a USB
port on front of the rig) and it has built in digital modes including
RTTY. I have an Icom Pro III and it has a super receiver in it, and the
new 6000 seems to be just as good.
I just went over to a friend (W4KLY who has a 6000) and admittedly the
sigs were in the S-7 range, but I wasn't impressed with the "decoding"
of RTTY on 20 meters. W4KLY hasn't worked RTTY before so he doesn't have
a standard of comparison, but I worked it for 15 years..

I'd just be interested in anyone else who has worked with that radio,
because I believe a good old ST-6 or ST-6000 would do a far better job
of digging out the weak ones. I love the radios that have built-in FSK -
beats the heck out of tearing into a VFO and converting it to shift
170Hz. But jamming a terminal unit into a radio has to be a compromise
somewhere. I could be wrong, though and I have an open mind if someone
who has worked with that rig can convince me.
