Hi,

The rubber pad for the print hammer is mushy on my recently acquired
ASR33 teletype. What is the best way to replace this rubber pad? Are
these rubber pads available? So far, the printhead looks uninjured.

Thanks!

Barry,

Its 7/16 OD 5/16 ID vinyl tubing. Cut 7/8 inch long. Remove ribbon.
Clean old rubber hammer off best you can. Warm the new hammer in your fingers
and slide all the way on to the bottom of the "T" of the metal hammer with
the slight curve facing the typewheel.
