I have forgotten the name of the "app", but doesn't Windows/Vista have a built-in dumb terminal program already? If so, I wonder whether it could be used for RTTY?

Stan,
Is TTY Term the full name of the terminal program you are attempting to
use?? I cannot find it by "Googling", but many terminal programs were in
existance over the years and that's not too surprising. A good many of them
are DOS programs, and I don't know of any personally that say they will run
on Windows Vista. Even the HAL DSRTTY Win program is listed as "IFFY" (my
words, hi) on Vista, and it runs quite well on XP. What TU or TNC are you
attempting to run the program with?? I haven't used a USB to RS-232 cable
yet, but will probably have to soon. Fewer and fewer RS-232 ports are
available on the new machines, unfortunately. Give me a little info and
will try to help if I can, Stan. I'm no "expert", by any means, just used a
LOT of the older terminal programs, hi.

Don, WB5HAK
