Hi Buck,

Looking at the top switches, I see a way to change the spped from 50 to 200 baud.? The second switch allows the unit to send from 0 to 43 percent distortion.? The?third switch allows for transmission in Baudot, ASCII, EBCDIC and EBIC.? I see other switches for stop length and the small switches along the bottom appear to allow the operator to select a character or two for tranmission.? I'm not usre of the manufacturer but I used to see a lot of these units in central offices where various test patterns could be transmitted over lines under test, sometimes to a distant teleprinter or looped back to the central office where the test signal was monitored.??

I hope that this helps.

Can anyone identify this?

Looks like something pre-ST-6, pre-Centronics that a couple of my
1971-era buddies and I would have dreamed up over multiple Molson's.

Anything that converts to EBCDIC can't be all bad. Maybe I can get it to
talk to that Core memory from an IBM 1130 that I use for a doorstop.
