Give the newbie technicians a break.  Most have no formal training  
except for the hard way... on the job.
at&t and Verizon have closed about 90 percent of their training  
facilities.

The Bell System Center for Technical Education (BSCTE)... (Later  
BCTEC) I knew and loved here in Lisle, Illinois
was a world renowned educational facility.  A large campus with  
hundreds of courses on all aspects of telephony.
It has been closed for several years.  I took more than 20 courses  
there.  Accountants said "It cost too much"

The officers and accountants run the companies now.  Profits are the  
only thing that is important.
Customer service seems to get worse every year.  And this is only a  
small part of a much bigger problem...

I still remember when nothing was as important as customer service.

Just memories.
