[GreenKeys] Experience on this list

Jack,

Most phone company employees now have to contribute something towards
their health care plan.
Union members pay the least amount. Management pays A LOT.
When I retired from Ameritech in 1996 I was promised free health care
for the rest of my life.
We were paying $400 a month for a second rate plan up until both my
wife and I became eligible for Medicare.
We now have our HMO as a supplement to Medicare. Due to massive
clerical errors by at&t's contractor my
wife has been dropped from the plan three times. Our retirees
association fights to keep our benefits.
It gets quite complicated. Because I am Medicare primary, at&t sends
me a rebate check every month for $45.
I use that to pay my wife's Medicare premium as she is receiving her
pension from a teachers retirement plan.

Anyone or their spouse who is going to be 65 soon, I would recommend
arranging for a free consultation at
your local major hospital with a qualified counsellor.

Sorry to be off topic again.

that were FORCED to retire early or lose all the benefits they had
accrued.
You think it was bad, just wait!! I had to show the last one out here
in
the country where all the pedestals were!!! I happened to have missed
one
in the poison ivy and poison oak, so IF I ever have to get them out
again,
I'll be sure to point it out for his pleasure, HI HI.
