Hi Lee:

I'm with you that the modern oils are much better.  I found this when working 
with clocks, see:

The old Whale Oil based lubes and others that used an organic base all had 
problems after some number of years.

Mobil 1 is an automotive oil that's not organic based.

What oil did you use for the Uzi?
