Someone should investigate:

Mobil Velocite Oil No. 6
Spindle Oil Light

I got a gallon at Grainger industrial supply house for about 10 bucks
some years ago. I investigated it back then and it seemed to be rated
at no 5 or no 10. (there was some system of weight other than the
one used for motor oil also mentioned.)

Exxon Mobil VELOCITE No 6 Oil,Bearing
Spindle Bearing Oil, SAE Grade Lower than 5 Wt, ISO Viscosity Grade
10, Viscosity SUS @ 100 Degrees Fahrenheit 59, Flash Point 310 Degrees
Fahrenheit Grainger item 4F974 One gallon quantity now $19, Also
can get 5 gallon tub.

Grainger offers the Medium grade in 5 gallon tubs: Item no: 4F970
Exxon Mobil VELOCITE No 10
Spindle Bearing Oil, SAE Grade Lower than 5 Wt, Viscosity Index 22,
Viscosity SUS @ 100 Degrees Fahrenheit 107, Flash Point 360 Degrees
Fahrenheit, Pour Point 25 Degrees Fahrenheit, Container Size 5 Gallons
Pail, Product Head Velocite Number 10

There is also a VELOCITE Oil No. 3, apparently thinner than the No. 6
(Do check it's viscosity at 100 F... and compare with just posted
Teletype spec.)
