It sure is good that Master Henley sent this to the whole list.
It is best to keep on top of these sellers and not let too much time
go by. Especially if the 30 days is approaching.
You cannot retract negative feedback, but you can append to the
feedback as a reply.
eBay does have a procedure for canceling feedback if both parties are
in complete agreement.
In this case it would seem that even if it works out, other eBay
bidders need to know of the misrepresented items.
Best,
Don
P.S.
Back when I was in California from 1996 to 2002 I was able to purchase
test equipment on eBay for our startup company for about 10 cents on
the dollar.
The company made out with a total savings of over $70,000. HOWEVER,
in the process I was taken in by a couple of sellers who were
completely fraudulent.
The one seller made off with a company check for $3,000. His entire
company was a fake. Even down to a complete website with all kinds of
departments, officers and employees. All 100 percent fake. I do not
know how many people he robbed but the authorities in California lost
track
of him. He moved to Canada and operated there for some time. I sure
hope the RCMP put him in irons for a long time. Since that happened
in 1999 eBay
and PayPal have changed and improved. One of my coworkers bought a
"IBM Laptop" from this man in Canada for $2,000. He received
nothing. Back then
PayPal was separate from eBay and all he got back was $175. Thank
goodness things are better today. Still you cannot be too careful
dealing with people
on-line.
