[GreenKeys] telegraph submarine cable

I find that I have a picture of a cable amplifying station for an 
undersea telegraph cable.  I assume there are polar relays at the 
bottom of the cabinet and a lot of knobs to balance the cable for 
duplex operation.  If anyone can shed more light on this, beyond what 
is in the AT&T books discussed recently (and there is a lot in 
there), I would like to know more.  Other pictures of this station 
confirm that it was for model 15 Teletype operation, not Morse.  This 
cabinet was located in Cold Bay AK at Ft Randall in 1947.  I am 
located at the other end of the cable which is largely still in place
