Hi Lar - can you send me a photo and any info on that Navy item? I have been
documenting Navy patch panels and all the ones I have found have tip/sleeve
jacks. I am curious about yours.
http://www.virhistory.com/navy/rtty-patch.htm has photos
There are schematics showing how Looping and Set jacks work in Navy patch
panels at

cheers,
Nick

Eugene,
I just finished, tonite, wiring 3 machines into a Navy jackfield. It uses
tip and ring for contacts. The sleeve floats.

Subject: [GreenKeys] jackfields
Hi. Ive been wiring up a jackfield and was wondering. Would typical tty
devices using ¼ plugs use TS or TRS plugs? I happen to have TRS on my 2
machines, but I just wired up the jackfield using TS (shorting) jacks! So
right now I have to fix something.
Thanks
PS if this message gets through, Gil I sent you two emails this morning.
Just wondering if you got them. thanks
