Caig DeOxit 100L (full strength). Use to clean contacts and similar
"stuff". If you want long term follow on protection - then apply Caig
DeOxit Shield S100L (full strength) to provide a lasting preservative
coating. A VERY little goes a LONG ways.
ProGold is, of course - for precious metal contacts.
These are expensive (the 25ml bottle of DeOxit is $24.95 and Shield is
$26.95 each) but they work very well and these bottles will last for
years of normal use (I buy the 59ml / 2oz. size and they last about 10
years - and I do a lot of vintage restoration work). All of these are
available in smaller sizes - and several options of "application".
For controls / pots / rheostats -- DeOxit FaderLube cleans, improves
electrical conductivity and protects the conductive plastic / carbon
tracks in these controls. (use DeOxit and Shield for wire-wounds).
They have a sampler kit of each product - but at only $12.95 - you have
to order two from their website - as it has a $25.00 minimum order.
Here is the sampler kit:

There are other places to get Caig as well...

I've used Caig stuff ever since the original "red stuff" was pulled from
the market. Caig's isn't quite as good - but it isn't "illegal" either....
Oh, one other point - don't be confused by GC's similarly named De-Ox-Id
....... it is NOT the same as DeOxit....
as always - just my .02
