IIRC, to use a bit of Internet shorthand, the cotton ribbons hold more
ink, but the nylon ribbons don't wear out so fast and can be re-inked
a few times.  Seems like they recommended cotton for Model 15-28 and
nylon for 32-33, but that might be just because nylon was not available
when the earlier machines were first built.  Or it could be that the
32-33 are harder on ribbons than the 15-28.
