Plastic gloves are recommended.  The purple ribbons work well if you  
like purple and do not mind getting a bit of ink in places other than  
the paper. It is really hard to get off your hands.
Any all Black typewriter ribbon specified for an UNDERWOOD typewriter  
will fit and work on a M33.  Cotton or Rayon works better than Nylon.
Keep in mind that ribbons for a Smith Corona (SCM) will not fit on a  
Teletype machine, but will fit on a Kleinschmidt machine.
The Red/Black typewriter ribbons work on Models 37 and 38 Teletype  
machines.  Models 40 and 45 have their own special ribbons.
