FWIW, there are three types of diversity operation, as previously
speculated upon.

USAF Training Projects Publication T-5-12-I dated January 25, 1955,
describes (1) frequency, (2) space, and (3) polarization.

Here at home, running two AN/FRR-38's, I go with whatever I can find
and my application of space diversity is basically two GI 25-foot
whips about 100 feet apart. I find very little frequency diversity
operation these days simply because of the negligible amount of RTTY
traffic out there in the netherworld.
