Howdy Folks,
I have the Model 14 perforator all lubed and ready to go BUT,
the label sez, 130 volts and max of 1 ampere.
This is solenoid driven. When you press a key, a 2 coil solenoid slams a
plunger into the pins that cut the holes in the paper tape....1936 vintage
machine....no motor...just a solenoid.
Am I correct in assuming it is requiring 130 volts DC? If so, where did
they get that voltage in those days (assuming it wasn't Edison's DC in NYC)
Was it one of the old rectifiers? The coils measure 150 ohms across the
power supply line.
Thanks for any input
lar
Larry
