Oh man Don, I didn't say that your post was political, it was all the 
replies it generated.  Please don't be so sensitive.  As list moderator, I 
need to stop this escalating flaming, as it will go nowhere productive.

I too appreciate everything our veterans did/do for us -- my nephew is a 
vet.  And I love our country too.  But I have to get this list back 
on-topic.  It is not a blog.  It is a forum for tty/rtty, with some 
non-controversial off-topic stuff allowed.
