Most of you have probably noticed that eBay has put all bidders IDs in
a private status when you bid on something. No one but the individual
bidding and the seller sees the actual ID.
I make it a policy to never bid against a Greenkeyer, but this makes
it very difficult. The only way to keep from bidding against one
another is to send a message to the list stating what you are bidding
on.
Example, I placed the first bid on a recent auction for a M28
Transmitter distributor but, in short order, I was out bid. I had
previously changed my ID to drhouse42 so that people would know that
it was me bidding, but to no avail. With this new system you cannot
tell that I was the first bidder until the auction is over. I have
not placed another bid as I am assuming that another one of you is the
current high bidder.
Some Greenkeyers, I suppose, will like this as they do not want the
rest of us knowing what they are bidding on, but sigh, it was a nice
honorable system we were using that seems to hit a roadblock.

First - I must note that I'm a bit overwhelmed by the interest - and
reactions to the project - I've tried to answer every email, but if I
missed someone - it wasn't intentional - and thanks!.
Second - I've added a "side order" of Riceguy to the pages... If you
want to be impressed with something - take a look at what he's done in
a VERY short amount of time. Words fail me, so just look at (drool
over) the pictures.

Last item - there a whirly-gig tty test set on ebay - with them
playing "game" (IMHO) with bidder's ID, etc. - I can't tell if the one
bidder is a Greenkeyer - or??? I'd thought about picking it up to go
along with *the project* - but it's more of a whim - so if someone
here is the bidder - let me know...
best to all!
