Regarding the 'non-standard' military connectors on the back of the HAL 
ST-8000A, I would be interested in what steps you folks have taken to make 
your ST-8000A more connection friendly.

Did anyone find the appropriate connectors from a surplus source rather than 
having to purchase them new from Hal?

I think I read that some people had made pins to push into the back of the 
connector...that sounds OK and worth a try.

Anyone replace them with something more conventional so they can be used on 
different rigs...DIN? or RCA?  Heathkit 11 pin octal!? (just kidding)

Also, anyone out there in web land have any kind of documention on an 
oddball RTTY TU from the 80s called a Macrotronics M800?
