NOTE: Guys - sorry for posting off-topic, but eBay deserves
the following dis, and others deserve to be aware.

Hey Web;

Sorry to hear about your run-in with eBay.

I had a run-in with them over a Ten-Tec ORION I sold.

I had it listed at about $4,000. It sold.

About a week later I get an e-mail from some a ham in
Denmark saying that my ORION is being sold on eBay Europe.
I checked the link and sure enough, there was the picture I
had with a good chunk of the writeup I did.

I contacted eBay USA. They said it was listed thru eBay China
(why did that sound like a problem... :-)

Anyway, I contacted eBay China. I sent them:

o Edits of my writeup.
o Other photos of the rig that I didn't post.
o A copy of the original sales order.
o Noted that I had ALREADY SOLD the unit before the other guy listed it.
o I've been a member since 1999 and have a 99% positive feedback. He's
   just joined.

You know what they wrote back?

"We're sorry - there is no way to tell who is the fraud. We're closing
this case. Thank you for contacting eBay about this problem."

That was followed by the usual warm-fuzzy stuff about how much they
care and protect their clients.

I sent both eBay China and USA a rather nasty letter.
