[GreenKeys] ITTY Pix Run

Just a public "thanks" to the ITTY crew for re-running the teleprinter
pictures yesterday. Christmas here, like most other houses, was busy and I
never had a chance to even look at a machine, so the re-run yesterday was
most welcomed! I had a couple of 28s pounding away for several hours
yesterday afternoon and evening filling the air with that all-so-wonderful
aroma of warm Teletype oil... nothing like it! I also tried running my
Model 15 RO at the same time, but after only two lines of 'X's in whatever
pic was printing when I started the machine, it stopped printing. The type
bars were only feebly trying to type. So, guess that needs to go on the
bench. But the 28s just kept on printing and barely broke a sweat in the
6+ hours I ran them.

The only other glitch on my end was that I also had my old 486 laptop
copying the picture traffic and was saving it to a disk file and at some
point while we went out to watch fireworks at midnight the computer crashed
and I lost the entire run that I had copied. At least I have two hard copies!

Thanks again to the ITTY gang for a unique experience. I got into RTTY
well after the heyday of hams running pix tapes on-air so I had never
experienced that previously.

73,

Doug, KA2WFT
