I was thinking you might be able to just turn the motor end-for-end
in its mounting to get the reversed direction - don't know if it's
possible to reverse the direction electrically. And I haven't looked
at the motor. If you can't get the motor running reversed, then maybe
a Rube Goldberg affair where you use the original gear on a new shaft
to get the direction reversal, and then have the original gear drive
the toothed pulley.
