I'm currently in contact with Owens-Corning, the original manufacturer
of the "pads" in the bottom of (at least the early) 28s. So far - they
have shuffled me to several different people whom were "supposed" to
recommend a current product equivalent to the 1" fiberglass originally
supplied. I'll let everyone know when (*IF*) I get an answer... (been a
couple of months already).

The original pads supplied in the 28KSR was:

Pad, silencing: fibre glass; appox. 14"lg X 11" h X 1" thick. TTY P/N
151533 Owens-Corning P/N PF-316-1 lb density.

I've just sent a "reminder - follow-up" email to Owens - hopefully it'll
get some response.

best regards...
