I ask this periodically, not having got an answer so far, so please don't
complain that you've seen it before.
On lots of old W.U. customer-premises teleprinters that I've seen there
is a fixture that apparently held some kind of motor control relay. It
has two connections in the signal line circuit and two that control a
relay that controls the motor. I've never seen the relay and am wondering
what it looks like. And I can only guess at how it worked. Maybe the
line current was one polarity for motor off and was reversed to turn
the motor on?
