Larry,

I wonder if the dataline is really ASCII or is it 
still Baudot or 5 level.

Well, let me ask it this way, is the text upper and 
lower case, or just upper case?  If upper and lower case,
then it can't be 5 level.  Since the AP had the coding
in place for years to convert upper and lower case from the
data terminals to the 5 level stream for the older 5 level
machine population, one might think they have maintained
the 5 level coding, but I am really making a guess.

Is the feed for your printer a satellite feed or is it
a phone line feed?  If phone line, what is the modem?
Self contained in the Extel or the older external 
Lenkurt 25 A system?

Just curious, or nosey from a technical standpoint!
