Subject: [GreenKeys] SITOR / AMTOR / NAVTEXT protocols
GE OMs;
I'm always impressed with the vast knowledge within this
group. I hope one of you can point me in the right direction.
I dabble a bit programming in C. I wrote a little routine
to convert Baudot into ASCII so I can use my laptop at night
to copy RTTY.
Converting Baudot to ASCII is easy - it's just a simple
character to character conversion.
SITOR / AMTOR / NAVTEXT is different: there are different
modes: you've got FEC, ALIST, etc.
Does anyone know where I can find out what the protocols are?
I need to know things like control codes (telling the receiving
and transmitting station what to do), how many bits are in a
character, etc.
I've gone to the CCITT website and navigated for hours, only
to find they want big bux for something that I'm not even sure
is what I am looking for.
73,
W6ESE - tony
