Hi:
I have just received a TS-799 and am looking for the manual:
TM 11-6625-620-12, Test Set, Teletypewriter AN/UGM-l
Web page under construmction for the TS-799. It uses transistors, no tubes, no
ICs. Built in: THE QUICK BROWN FOX JUMPED OVER A LAZY DOG's BACK 1234567890
TESTING plus "DOT CYCLES". Are DOT CYCLES just using the 5 toggle switches to
set a data word or something else? The baud rates are:
45.5, 50, 74.2, 75, 150, 23, 37, 37.5, 75, 100. The manuals have dates in the
1979 time frame. Are these slow baud rates and 5 level code supporting submarines?
Also what is the TS-800 and what is UGM-1? Since this is a data generator
maybe the TS-800 measures the data from a transmitter? The TS-800 has crystals
for 4, 6, 21 & 921 kc but there are none in the TS-799.
