Just to add to the controversy. We used black oxide (parko) on the Kleinschmidt equipment for oil retension and appearance. It had to be BLACK, none of the light gray color. Also all the "oillite" bearings were vacuum impregnated by the metalurgical lab. K9MZN Chuck Coulter
