My grandfather made his own hair tonic from

Witch Hazel
Glycerin
Rose water

all available inexpensively at the local drug store, aka pharmacy.

He still had a full head of hair into his nineties.

I wonder how the Encyclopedia Brittannica is doing these days with  
competition on-line.

I remember when they first issued their encyclopedia on CD-ROMs with a  
RS-232 security key for $400.00
