Hi Folks,

FWIW, I've been copying W1AW with the monster 74A.  The drum spins around 
and about 80+ little hammars pound on the ribbon at the right time a letter 
on the drum is in position and wahlah, it prints a smeary little letter :>)

It's nice having this piece of mil. history working.  However the paramount 
question keeps coming up i.e., how on earth was this contraption ever 
approved for purchase by the U.S. gov't???

Who approves this stuff?  Apparently someone agrees with me as the 74B was 
produced and is 1000 times better than the "A".  Just venting over the waste 
of my tax dollars.

Now I feel better.
