Yes Randy, all the UGC-77s have the three speed shift, and they also
have a light distributor and a M32 keyboard.
They are not meant to shift on the fly as many think. The machines
are tricky to pack as the keyboard is a weak part of the design.

A far as I know the going rate for a 28ASR is about $60.00 plus (drum-
roll please) transportation.

Wow... wish I could get loose to "come and get it". I think I really
would rather have a "real" 28 than one of the later hybrids - though
I am considering getting one of the UGC-77s John has. 'Course same
problem - getting "up there" to get it - it's not much further to PA
than where he is.

BTW - do all UGC-77s have a 3-speed transmission? John wasn't sure
his does - and since they're still sealed - not easy for him to
look... (and he wants considerably more than $100 for 'em, too - so
the stickshift is a factor)...

best regards...
