Doug was indeed an engineer for the old Mich Bell Telephone. Worked out of the North West Office Center. He got me a job as a PBX TTY Repairman right off the street, as I was a recent US Navy vet and a tty repairman. Met him through Keith and the old RTTY Society here in Detroit. Doug made many machines available to local members as they became obsolete and were released by Western Electric in Plymouth Mich. Those were the fun days with Auto Start and many other early innovations. Now, I'm a dinosaur along with my equipment. I can wax nostalgic, but can't stop progress. ryryryryryry-sgsgsgsg Rick K8PJQ
