Back in about 82-83 i bought a COmmodore 64.  WOW!  I had computer 
friends who had the whole shebang.  Dual disk drives and you name it.  I 
got along with the 64, a 1702A monitor and cassette unit.  I still have 
the cassette unit along with the 1702A monitor.  I use the monitor with 
a satellite receiver for TV as the Color and resolution is great, better 
than some TV's i've seen.  If you wanted something to use as a "dumb" 
terminal, i'd look for one of them.  I see 5 of them on Ebay and they 
are cheap, if they are working as they should.  Only problem i've had 
with mine is the slide switch on the back is a bit intermittent at 
times,  That's for switching the input from the back to the front RCA 
jack.  Otherwise, i love it.  Seems they had a cartridge that plugged in 
with a CW program and i think i saw someplace or someone who had a rtty 
program for it.  Might have been in one of the ham mag's or one of the 
software/hardware publications from that era.
