ME is probably the worst OS Microsoft ever wrote.  Get an upgrade  
version of XP Home on eBay.
You will be glad you did it.  Make sure it comes with Service Pack 2.   
If not I can send you SP 2.

I'm experiencing an odd problem with a COMPAQ PC
running Millenium.  The machine seems to stop "computing"
every twenty seconds for approximately 3-4 seconds, then
starts working again. When running Heavymetal, it just stops
the data flow, when using ITTY, it interrupts the audio. Even if
I'm just using the machine to write a WORD document, it stops taking
keyboard input for the same timeframe (it's even doing it now as
