Hi List,

Thanks Russ for the heads up on the contest.  Being new to RTTY (apart from testing my restored kit), am a little isolated from current RTTY events - and did find the band `rather` busy today.  However I did manage to get some transmissions in around the planned times.  Would be useful to get some feedback on these and those planned for tomorrow.  Will probably also try again next week (hopefully things a bit quieter).

Don, WB5HAK - you summised correctly, am restricted by the nature of my ex NATO German telprinter station (based in a 1964 Merc Unimog truck).  At the moment, I am aiming to keep the equipment original (also use it on the local AM nets).  

Thanks for the other comments regarding background to 850 / 450 / 170Hz - interesting stuff.
