My first TU was a Rack mount 19"x19" dual diversity i.f. converter that was
acquired through MARS. I also used the frequency shift keyer that went with
a BC-610 to feed a DX-100 for transmit.When we left Hawaii, I turned them
back in so we could ship our furniture and not be overweight. In the mid
sixties, I built a TU (can't remember the name) that was two torriods and
two transistors. Not the best out there but it did work ok until we got an
ST-6. Along with it in the Bud Box was a Twin T oscillator for the transmit
side.
