The TD contacts are in series with the KDB contacts.  Either the  TD or the 
KBD can break the send circuit to transmit.  I have my TD  contacts on C 129 
and C130.
 
Take a look at the RTTY dot COM site and look at the diagrams for the 28  ASR 
in the Technical Library under Teletype Machines for the Model 28 electrical  
drawings.
