Anyone happen to know how much it weighed?  "Portable" is a relative term
... I'd also like to see the case.

The 31 was multi-functional.  In addition to military use, the machine was
also carried to sporting and other news events to transmit to newspapers.
The machine in the photo I sent to Evan is powered by 115vac  and has spare
sets of gears for operating at 60, 67, and 75 wpm.  Some of the machines had
semi-weatherproof carrying cases.  A few receive only M31s were used as
crypto printers.
