Methinks a function bar was changed to make this 15 love figures.
George Hutchison may know how to change it. Some guy is selling a
M15 manual on eBay. The last I looked it was not too pricey. I can
also loan you my manual if you like.

Hello group,
Thanks to a list member I have received a set of gears to change my
Model 15 RO to 60 WPM operation. I installed said gears this
afternoon and connected it in a local loop with one of my Model 28
KSRs and typed some data.
The 15 RO works fine, but appears to have some "options" set that I
haven't seen mentioned before and with next to no literature on hand
for it, I don't know if this is, indeed, an "option" or if I have a
problem. I have only the RSGB Teleprinter Handbook, which briefly
covers the Model 15. Specifically on my machine when a LTRS
character is sent, the 15 RO shifts to FIGS. FIGS, likewise, also
shifts it into FIGS. If it weren't for the USOS being engaged on the
thing, it would never get out of FIGS. From the list chatter
generated by my original gear request, it appears that this machine
was used with a LIT (line insulation test) system which would, as I
understand it, spit out nothing but "port" numbers of the tested CO
lines. So, a machine set to always be in FIGS would make sense.
But, how do I undo it??? All the characters seem to print or
function appropriately so I don't think I have a code bar hung up
some place.
Also, when in the FIGS mode, just about any character other than
numerals and a period prints not only the appropriate FIGS character,
but the bell rings, too. Is this another "option"??
Sorry for all the questions but 28s are more my realm of experience
(I won't say 'expertise' since I make no expert knowledge claim on
the 28) and I've never dealt with a 15 up close and personal before now.
Many thanks in advance,
Doug, KA2WFT
